How to Download and Install Gardendless on PC

1. Go to the download page at plantsvszombie.com.
2. Select your platform — Windows, macOS (arm64), or Linux.
3. Download the package and extract the archive.
4. Launch the game executable. Windows builds may require WebView2; the site’s install guide covers setup and troubleshooting.

Play Gardendless Online (No Download)

Don’t want to install anything? The browser version runs the full game. Two caveats from the developers: the online build may lag behind the latest desktop release, and loading is slower on first launch.

Is There a Gardendless APK for Android?

Not officially. The project’s own FAQ states there is no Android or iOS version. However, the community has built ports — most notably Cateners’ Android port, which packages the web version into an APK distributed through its own GitHub releases. Treat that as a separate project, and be skeptical of any random site advertising a “Gardendless APK” — repacks frequently bundle unwanted installers or outdated builds.

What Makes Gardendless Different From Official PvZ 2?

• No paywalls. Premium plants, plant leveling, and monetized power-ups are removed. Everything unlocks through play; in-game currency buys plants instead of real money.
• New and reworked content. Original plants (Flying Flowerpot, Meteor Fruit, Mirror-nut), new zombies (Pelican Zombie, Pixel Zombie), reworked classics (Ice-shroom now freezes the whole screen on tap), and original worlds like Extreme Cold Cavern alongside remastered Egypt and Wild West.
• Extra modes and tools. Sandbox mode with custom spawn rules, community-made Epic Quest levels, plus an online Almanac, save editor, and level-design tools — all open source.

Gardendless is a non-commercial fan project — not developed, authorized, or published by EA or PopCap, and its downloads are provided for learning and personal use only. The safest sources are the official website and the GitHub organization, where the source code (Apache-2.0 for the site, GPL-3.0 for the web build) is fully inspectable. Avoid renamed repacks and “all unlocked” modded APKs from third-party stores.
